COM 101 - Simpson

The library guide for COM 101 taught by Alex Simpson

In addition to your instructor and the library, there are other resources on campus and online that you have access to as a CSN student. Your assignments for COM 101 involve different types of learning and practice, like research and writing, and these resources can help you deepen your existing skills.

Resources at the NLV campus:

Research Consultations:

You can schedule a consultation with your class's librarian, Carrieann Cahall, for help with finding and evaluating information and resources related to your speech topics. A research consultation can also cover tasks like citing sources, broadening or narrowing a speech topic, and organizing your research.

Consultations are:

  • Casual, one-on-one sessions that are guided by your questions and research interests
  • Anywhere between 30-45 minutes, depending on your needs
  • In-person or virtual

Not sure if a consultation is right for you? You can also start a conversation with your librarian via email: carrieann.cahall@csn.edu

Your librarian for COM 101:
