In this course, you will be writing an argumentative research paper. As you learn how to write a research paper, a good model to follow is the seven-paragraph essay model. This includes an introductory paragraph, four body paragraphs, a counter argument paragraph, and a conclusion paragraph. Use the following outline to help you plan out your essay:

If you aren't quite ready to go from your outline straight to writing your paper, a good strategy is to create a sentence outline. This video shows you how to create a sentence outline from your outline which is a great writing practice to get into.
