Assignment Details

Prospectus: A prospectus serves as a formal proposal for a research project to convince the reader that the project is both valuable and feasible. At 300-500 words, the prospectus should include the following: a working title for your project, a description of your topic and explanation of its value, a statement of your research question or issue and/or a working thesis, a literature review related to this topic and/or author(s), and a brief summary of your research methods and/or your theoretical approach.

Outline: You may do either a detailed outline or a rough draft in paragraph form. You may structure the outline in whatever way is easiest for your (such as bullets, numbers, etc). Put your Working Thesis at the very top, labeled as Working Thesis, or include it labeled in your introduction. The outline should be at least five pages, double spaced.
