One OER option for ALS 101 is titled College Success. The author Amy Baldwin is a well-known expert in the field, and the text takes a modern approach in assisting students with their transition to the college experience. I particularly like the chapters on Understanding Civility and Cultural Competence (Ch. 9) and Engaging in a Healthy Lifestyle (Ch. 11). This adoption includes instructor resources such as PowerPoint slides and a test bank. This text is available for free online or via mobile app and can also be ordered quickly from Amazon for a reasonable price. You can check out other titles from Rice University’s OpenStax project here: https://openstax.org/
