Library Instruction for ENG 100-Larakers: Library Instruction for ENG 100-Larakers

Resources for the Researched Report Essay Assignment and the Researched Argument Essay Assignment

Welcome

Hello Ms Larakers' students! I'm Susan Gregg, a former graduate of CSN and now a librarian based at the NLV campus. I'm working from home part of the time due to COVID-19. I've listed some of the library resources that work best for your two ENG 100 assignments. I know Ms Larakers has created some short videos about doing library research. If you have any questions about using the library resources please chat with me or email me with your questions. Chat is always faster- see my chat hours listed or use the Chat With a Librarian room to ask a question and have it answered by any of our librarians. My email is susan.gregg@csn.edu  and I will reply within 24 hours.

Library Resources

Here is a list of library databases that work best for your assignments. If you are working off campus you may have to log into the library as you click on a database. Use your Canvas login and password. All the databases have tools to print or get formatted citations. Starting from the CSN Library homepage:

Use the Find Books button to look for print books and ebooks on your topic .

Use the Browse Databases button to get started with your search for articles in these recommended databases:
