CSN Libraries is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all CSN students. We encourage you to contact the library if you have questions that are not answered here.
Are the library buildings still open?
The CSN library buildings are currently open and will remain operational unless there is a mandated closure from our administration. View current hours on our website.
What happens if my in-person class moves online?
If this is your first time taking an online course, see CSN's information about our online campus, including basic technical requirements, online support, and where you can go for help. If you don't have access to a computer at home, the library buildings are currently still open on each campus.
What if I have a library book out that's due back?
CSN Libraries understands that you may not be able to come to campus to return or renew a library book that is already out. We are extending all due dates for currently checked out items and overdue items. You will not be billed for an item that is not returned [this spring] due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns. Many library materials can be renewed online through your library account (MyCSN/Canvas login).

CSN Libraries has multiple ways to contact a librarian online if you need help in your courses and are not on campus. Check out the contact links on this page, or visit our "Ask" page for more information. [Due to the potential move to online classes at CSN, our libraries are extending our chat hours to accommodate students as much as possible.]

CSN librarians are available to help you online using our chat box, from:
Monday-Thursday: 10am-10:30pm
Friday-Saturday: 10am-5pm
Sunday: 9am-11pm
Where can I get more information about how CSN is handling issues related to COVID-19?
CSN has set up a website for updates related to COVID-19 including prevention and treatment tips from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and important notes about traveling during this time. Communications to CSN students and staff are also posted at the bottom of the page for the latest information about what's happening locally.
